In Cheyenne since 2010, Ms. Austin was raised on Brush Creek in Saratoga, Wyoming.  She graduated from high school is Saratoga, Wyoming and went on to earn a Business Management degree from Linfield College in McMinnville, Oregon.  A student of Willamette College of Law in Salem, Oregon, Ms. Austin worked in an AV-rated firm in Oregon for over 20 years.  

While at Willamette, Ms. Austin completed the College of Law's preeminent program on Alternative Dispute Resolution based on the Harvard Negotiation Project.  The program includes Negotiation, Mediation, Arbitration and Advanced Topics in Conflict Theory.  The program remains in the top ten in the country for training of dispute resolution.  Ms. Austin has mediated disputes with the courts in Oregon, with an over 90% resolution rate.  Ms. Austin uses these skills to provide superior results to her clients, whether settling a case or going to court. 

Since returning to Wyoming, Ms. Austin has had her own firm.  She has also assisted Legal Aid of Wyoming in a variety of cases, and has mediated for Equal Justice of Wyoming.  Ms. Austin is a former bank officer and corporate trustee.
